Though I have to question...have they really established causation--i.e. trading meat LEADS to more sex--or do male chimps just feel more inclined to share with the ladies who've caught their eye and reciprocated signs of willingness? Or have they decided who they wanna get frisky with and instinctively make sure their reproductive partners are well fed to make healthy babies? Is that too complex a thought process to be a viable explanation? OK, I'm a nerd (everyone who reads this blog really should already know that), but I question that stuff.
