Tonight, driving along the ridge to the condo, I noticed the very three-dimensional sliver moon I'd seen earlier in the evening was now low on the horizon and tinted a hauntingly beautiful burnt orange color, like chipotle sauce. Just above the twinkling lights of the valley flanked by the faint silhouettes of leafless trees. I wished I had a camera. But even if I did, there are some things you just have to experience in person.

With beautiful moons like that, forget going green!
