Preach On!

I think sometimes people find the "clarity" of clarion-call preachers of politics or religion refreshing not because what they say is true and the issue really is as simple as they're breaking it down to be but because it feels nice to be able to frame things simply and without subtlety or attention not just to "different" points of view but to many angles and equally valid facets of a situation. I fear what this country would become if it were governed by those who are so tired of annoying, nitpicky multiculturalism and tiring "dialog" that they're ready to just slap the rules down for the sake of "getting things done" and tell everyone to deal with it.

(Note: this is a journal entry from June, but it's still relevant.)

Hm. I somehow missed this until now, but have to agree most whole heartedly. "Git 'r' dun" is not the point. The point may take repetitious banter and continuous fine tuning even to approach fair, equal or dare I say right (not wing, but principle).

Anywho, yes.
