Budgeting Ideal

Working out my ideal budget, I've found that I could live and travel very comfortably, as a single guy, accounting for savings, retirement, car, computer, pets, donations, medical expenses, clothing, etc, on a salary of only...

$60,000/year.  :-/

Heh, good thing I'm OK living a "simpler" life for a while.

This has gto do with your "Budgeting Ideal". I just listened to the Jonathan Haidt video from your Recommended Reading section. Excellent presentation . . . everyone should listen to it and consider taking a more "critical thinking" approach to opposing positions and learn to work together for the good of society.

When we moved to our current home town where there are both sizeable conservative religious and liberal progressive populations, I expected to experience the clash of Titans. What I found was a community that worked together very effectively to make this a family-oriented, business-friendly, culturally exciting and diverse (in all forms of the arts), socially diverse, vital, energetic, interesting place to live.

Thanks for recommending that video. I hope we can all learn to understand each other and make reasonable compromises that will move the nation in a positive and strong direction, both fiscally and socially.

The first sentence in my previous post should have read, "This has nothing to do with your "Budgeting Ideal". Don't know what happened to the n-o-t-h-i-n letters :/
