Busy Vacationing

So...I've been just too busy to blog. I wrote down some of the rest of my New York experience, but it's been hard to find real down time to finish it or put it into anything worth posting for you, my family and friends who, for whatever reason, give a rip. Usually, I'm pretty laid back about vacations. I don't like to make a schedule, and I play things by ear. I like to relax and take it easy. I don't like the "lay on a beach and do nothing" vacations, mind you, though I do like sitting on the balcony of an Embarcadero room and watching Yaquina Bay for the occasional sea lion or seal and the passing boats and fog horns...

In any case, this vacation has been very different. New York was one thing after another, and DisneyWorld has consisted mostly of running around until midnight and, last night, getting room service and watching the newest Harry Potter movie. Jason and Ashlee left today, so it's just the fam: my parentals, Sidney, and me. But Sidney and I were still out late tonight to take advantage of Hollywood Studios' "extra magic" hours until 11:00 (I love the Tower of Terror!) after doing as much of Epcot as we could before it closed, then we ordered a pizza, and I've been catching up on organizing and archiving my photos from the last couple of months to make room on my hard drive for editing pics from this trip, which I have yet to review and edit. In other words, I'm having a lot of fun, so additional blogging can wait until I'm bored or need a break.

...though I will say I had a brief emotional moment in the Italy area when I saw a panettone in one of the shops, and it reminded me of my mission (the Latin Americans in Montreal gave us panettone a lot during the Christmas season), then I saw something that reminded me of Milan, and I somehow ached to be in Italy. There's something about it...kind of like that feeling I occasionally get about something that becomes part of my life years down the road, but I never understood how until it happens. Oh, and I may need to go to France. Boy, those French Disney folks are pretty...
