I don't really have much purpose in posting this except to recommend Chantanee in Bellevue, WA. I ate there with a group of friends Tuesday night after getting back to Seattle from Texas, and this restaurant I remembered as a good, quaint little place had moved to a new location, swankified several levels up, and expanded and improved the menu. They also bumped the prices up a few notches, but I dare say it's worth it. The server was really friendly and helpful, I ordered a mocktail and told him to surprise me (he picked up on my mention of virgin mojitos and brought me an orange pineapple mojito--very good), and the food was all excellent. Servings were a touch small, and the phad thai was just a touch too saucy, but the flavor of everything was among the best I've had. The owner was there attending to guests, and she was very friendly and accommodating. It didn't have a hoity toity feel or a pretentious air but rather a very comfortable, clean, service-oriented experience.
So yeah. Chantanee. Try it.
