Friday night, I went to Salt Lake to hang out with Kim. We had some great dinner with grape/acai juice, citrusy green beans, and butternut squash ravioli in a sage brown butter sauce. Yeah, Kim knows how to use pasta. I then played with her roommate's cat, Moo, while we decided whether to see a movie. We jetted off to the dollar theater to catch Definitely, Maybe, which I actually really liked. Who knew Ryan Reynolds could act? Maybe he can't and I was just having a non-critical night, but I thought it was a good movie.
The next day, I went up to Pocatello at around 10 am to help unload the moving van into my parents' storage shed. Along the way, I noticed a few small things: the tiny calves in the fields, the beauty of the sky...I guess it was just one of those "appreciate the good things about where you are" moments. After unloading and grabbing a quick sandwich for lunch, we all headed down towards Provo, where we would unload my storage. Since it was graduation weekend for BYU, they decided to stay the night in SLC, so we stopped and had a great dinner at the Red Iguana (GREAT mole), complete with a rousing rendition of La Bamba sung at our table.
I went home to Provo, where I watched Lars and the Real Girl with Toffer and Greg. Another good movie. That was my second time watching it.
Sunday morning, I woke up, helped my parents unload my storage into my garage, went to Javier's place, unloaded my piano there, then had lunch with the parentals, went to a short stint of churchness, went for a nice walk with Nicole, who was visiting from Boise, then went to a picnic in Provo with some coworkers and friends who made good food and took a ridiculous number of pictures as we hiked along the Mighty Provo, then went back to Javier's place and hung out with him and his dad and Steph and Estebancito.

At Javier's we chatted, watched Esteban go wild on his new Radio Flyer 4-wheel scooter thing I brought from storage, flew a remote-control helicopter, played piano, ate oranges and grapefruits Javier had just picked from trees in California the day before, and enjoyed the amazing weather. Toffer even came and hung out with us. And that grapefruit was amazing. I never knew they good be so soft, so juicy, even the rind melted in your mouth. Wow. And I was smelling my fingers with delight for hours to come.
Nichole also came over Monday night to make Rice Krispy treats and watch a movie, which was like a little extension of the weekend since we just didn't have time to hang out on Sunday.
It was a good weekend.

I've never liked grapefruit much (yeah, you can tell by this that it's not Rob posting, can't you), but that description makes me want to try some fresh California variety.
